		<description>God yes. Tens of thousands of dollars every year. And WIU bails on some of the more expensive content because it's just too much. Research universities spend millions on this content. $1,000 per journal per year is not unusual.</description>

		<description>Does WIU pay for the databases they put on their library website.  I just realized that I have access to hundreds of scholarly articles whether they are at Malpas or some other library.  With all of these copyright laws, I've been wondering how in the hell the WIU databases got up and running.</description>
