I haven’t been running very much lately. Today the weather was unexpectedly warm (high 50s); I dropped everything after teaching and raced home to squeeze in as much distance as I could before dark. I even got to wear shorts! I logged 7 miles in 1:01:48. My last run before today was 4 miles on 2/6 in 35:00. Both of these are around 8:45/mi; I’m surprised my pace is this fast, given the wind and my inactivity.
So far this year I’ve only run six times. That’s not even once a week. Crap. I need to get out more. Even if it’s cold; I just gotta suck it up. Doug plans to run 43K on his birthday, March 1; I should do at least 20K with him.
