Why have a hosted domain?

Five reasons:

bash-2.02$ python
bash: python: command not found
bash-2.02$ perl -e ‘print $], “\n”‘
5.00503
bash-2.02$ mysql –version
mysql Ver 11.12 Distrib 3.23.32, for sun-solaris2.6 (sparc)

Oh yeah? Check this shit out:

    node3: /home/etn8m $ mysql –version
mysql Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.54, for ibm-aix4.3.2.0 (powerpc)

I can’t even figure out how to use tar on this machine; it doesn’t support flags like -z.

Yes. School. They do have emacs, even if it’s a few versions back.

OK, Erich has reminded me just how much AIX sucks. I remember IBM tar. Not fondly.
