I used to work those shifts at a Publix too. Ah, the days when making minimum wage was less insulting.

Yeah, the “shift of death” was my usual stint for quite some time: 4-12 Friday, 12-close Saturday, and 12-close Sunday. That added up to about a hundred bucks.

Interesting concept for a blog post. Did something interesting relating to four-twleve inspire the post? To me it means 48 more minutes of work, followed by three hours with my son, followed by four to twelve hours of reading/research/paper writing/sleep.
