More on the marathon
So, more about my recent marathon… lots more. Erin and I drove up the night before to stay at a motel. Picked up my chip and race number (512) and breezed through the pre-race exhibits. We had Indian food; I … Continue reading

Ethical bidness
Attention multinational corporations: when your chief ethics officer has to take the fifth when asked to testify about boardroom malfeasance at your company, it might be time to look for a new ethics officer. In other ethical news, an Illinois … Continue reading

Marathon
I finished. Chip time was 3:59:23, or 9:09/mi. My goal was 3:45 (8:35/mi). I kept that pace until 18 miles; after that point my right leg got really tight, and I fell off quite a bit. I ran the last … Continue reading

FIRST week seventeen
Um, I think it’s week 17…. traveling so I’m away from my schedule. Why didn’t I upload that? Tapering begins this week. And I still haven’t registered. I have to do that when I get back home…. Tue 9/5: speed … Continue reading
FIRST week sixteen
Cross-training today: playing football for 90 minutes or so, two-on-two with a fifth man rotating in and out. So lots of running. For the record, I am the Worst Quarterback Ever. Injury report is thin: only a few scrapes, bumps, … Continue reading

Odds and ends Saturday
It’s been a while since an omnibus post (or really since any kind of regular post except tracking my running). So what’s up? House-wise, nothing is up; it’s all down. We just got our floors refinished by Dan Ayer–and they … Continue reading
