I finished. Chip time was 3:59:23, or 9:09/mi.
My goal was 3:45 (8:35/mi). I kept that pace until 18 miles; after that point my right leg got really tight, and I fell off quite a bit. I ran the last 8 miles as intervals, walking for a bit every half mile or so. I did manage to run the last mile or so under 9:00/mi, to ensure I beat 4:00.
Boy, are my legs sore. Next few days, I’ll be heading to the Y for a soak and swim every morning.
Congratulations. I myself ran for about twenty five minutes the other day, which is essentially a marathon according to Heraclitus.
25 minutes? That would be a record.
All kidding aside, Bradley, that’s awesome. Congratulations.
Too cool. I’ve never been much of a runner but my son does cross country, and from watching the training entries here over the months I know what dedication it takes. Congratulations indeed.
Thanks; more details before too long. I’ve already started thinking of the next one.
Oh my god, you so rock.
I am very jealous. To be honest, I feel like I’ve lost ever ounce of muscle I ever had.
Yea for you! You are the wind beneath my wings!
