I can’t wait to get my hands on this sucker. Yes, Madelyn gets to play, too, but Daddy gets to test-drive it first. I’m interested to see what the SUGAR interface looks like; obviously connects with my interest in ease, but also Linux as well. And of course we get to see if Madelyn can break it.
Plus, somewhere out there, a kid gets a laptop.
Update: Oops, I forgot to mention this roundup of several computers for kids in the WSJ. It mentions the other strong contender, the Asus EEE PC. But no cute little antennas on that one.

I’ll be curious to read about this. I don’t need one of these before Christmas (actually, I don’t need one at all), but I think it’s a great idea in terms of a charity-like program and who doesn’t like cheap computers?
