Half past
I’m still not completely over the flu, but running is slowly getting easier. Today I went out planning to do 6 or 8 miles. I felt good, so I ended up doing 16 miles: a pretty speedy half (1:52, 8:34/mi) then bulling through some cramps to 16 miles (2:24, 9:03/mi). That’s the first time I’ve run further than a half-marathon in a long time. Some raw and blistered bits, and my legs are pretty sore, but nothing serious.
Meanwhile, I am drinking water and a Flying Dog Road Dog Porter. Both taste very good. (I lost four pounds during the run, so I gotta drink a half-gallon of water before bed.)

I love that imperial porter Flying Dog does. Rich and full of chocolate.

Yeah, that’s a good one. Glenn brought some down the last time he was here. I can’t remember if we drank it. He brought a million nice bottles….
Now Leffe Blond, which I remember buying in Belgium for 50 cents a glass.
