It’s been a long time since I thought running six miles was a big deal. But today I did so, and with no symptoms at all in my left Achilles: no soreness, pain, tightness, or discomfort. Nothing. And my pace was good: 53:54, or just under 9:00/mi.
I don’t plan to go back to the first three months of this year, when running was my only form of cardio. I’ll keep visiting the pool and riding, and in fact I’d like to do more of both, upping my frequency of exercise from three to four or five times a week. We’ll see how that goes.
