Last Sunday, Sept 27, 2009, I ran the QC half marathon at 1:49:17, a personal best. Good pacing and I feel great two days later.
At the beginning of the year I set a goal of exercising four times a week: two runs, one swim, one bike. And I have completely failed to do that, given that I’ve been in the pool less than ten times all year. It’s just been too difficult to harmonize child care for the girls [...]
I’m training for the Quad Cities half-marathon (Sept 27) using the Furman Institute for Running and Scientific Training method, “run less, run faster”: three runs and two other workouts a week. Less does not mean easier!
